The new health suite at the Baysgarth Leisure Centre was officially opened by the city council after an investment of £80,000. The new modern health suite is located next to the pool and has a sauna for eight people and a steam bath for six people with a cold shower.
This health suite, built by expert sauna suppliers, will complement the £ 1.5m plans to turn the Baysgarth Leisure Centre into a community facility with a range of services under one roof. This is expected to be completed by the end of spring 2019. The regular use of saunas and steam baths has many health benefits. A room used for heat or dry heat sessions is called a sauna.
